Anna Kasyan
The Armenian soprano Anna Kasyan was born in 1981 in Georgia and started her musician education at the age of four with viola and piano at the music school Tiflis. From 1999 she studied viola at the public conservatory in her home city. Fascinated by singing for many years, she started her vocal studies in 2001, continued them at Alfred Cortot in Paris and finished her studies with distinction. Anna Kasyan received awards at the Concours de Marmand, the Concours de Chant lyrique in Béziers and at the International Musikwettbewerb of the ARD 2006 in Munich. In the same year she received awards from Teresa Berganza at the International Gesangswettbewerb in Pamplona and further awards at the international music competition in South Africa, as well as at the vocals competition of Renata Tebaldi in San Marino. She was on the stage in Warsaw, Basel, Zurich, Madrid, Toulouse, Montpellier and Paris. Anna Masyan played Rosina in Rossini´s “Barber of Sevilla”, Zerlina in Mozart´s “Don Giovanni” and Norina in Donizetti´s “Don Pasquale” at the opera of San Marino. 2007 she was on the stage of Carnegie Hall New York, in 2008 she was honoured at the Queen Elisabeth competition in Brussels.
