Magdalena Podkoscielna
After earning a Master´s Degree in flute in Gdansk, Poland, Magdalena Podkoscielna went on to vocal training, pursuing here passion for singing as a soprano. Specialising in early music she has studied with Peter Kooij in The Hague and Emma Kirkby in London. She has participated in many international master classes, including those at Austria Baroque Academy, Vantaa Barokki in Helsinki and Palazzo Ricci in Montepulciano which were led by María Cristina Kiehr, Susanne Rydén, Jill Feldman, Mieke van der Sluis, Monika Mauch, Nigel North and Hermann Max.
Magdalena Podkoscielna has sung internationally with various musicians and ensembles including Ludger Rémy, Frieder Bernius, Claus Bantzer, Andreas Arend / Artemision Ensemble, Arte dei Suonatori, Arno Paduch, Isacco Colombo and Les Enchantants / Klaus Westermann. She has been involved with various CD, radio, opera and TV productions as well as particpating in numerous musical festivals. These include the Bach Festival in Leipzig, the Händel Festival in Halle, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Kloster Michaelstein, St. Michael´s Church in Hamburg, Gesellschaftshaus Magdeburg as well as "Trzy Baroki" in Wroclaw. She recorded Telemann's "Kapitänsmusik 1724" with Ludger Rémy and the Telemannisches Collegium Musicum for cpo. In 2007 she performed in Brussels as a soloist of the Bach Academy of the Collegium Vocale Gent.
In 2003 Magdalena Podkoscielna founded the Strozzi-Ensemble Hamburg, an ensemble performing vocal and instrumental baroque music.
She was invited to give master classes for Early Music in Montepulciano (Palazzo Ricci.)
