Daniele Carnovich
After studying flute and composition the in Padua born bass Daniele Carnovich decided, to train his voice while he specialized in Baroque music. Since 1986 he has worked in the ensemble Hesperion XXI and La Capella Reial de Catalunya, Jordi Savall, since 1991 he is a member of La Venexiana. He also has performed with the Consort of Musicke and Il Giardino Armonico, with the Sonatori della Gioiosa Marca Ensemble and Concerto Palatino Elyma. Although he is primarily understood as madrigalist, Daniele Carnovich also occurs occasionally in opera houses: he interpreted the Caronte in Monteverdi's “L'Orfeo” at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
His discography includes about a hundred recordings, including all the madrigals of Monteverdi. As a committed educator Carnovich has published two children's books on music education.
