Thomas Fheodoroff

Born 1969 in Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Thomas Fheodoroff started playing the violine at the conservatoire in his hometown. Studies at the University of Music Vienna with Günter Pichler and Ernst Kovacic followed, he finished 1996 with distinction.

Since 1990 he is a member of Nikolaus Harnoncourt’s Concentus Musicus Wien. He was concertmaster of the Anton Webern Quartet Vienna and also first concertmaster and soloist of the Wiener Akademie, the Barockorchestra and the Hofkapelle Stuttgart. Since 2006 he is Professor at the University of Music Vienna.

2004 Thomas Fheodoroff founded the Ensemble Prisma.

Many concerts lead him through Europe, Middle East, Japan, USA, and to performances at festivals such as styriarte, Carinthischer Sommer, Rheingau-Musikfestival, Händelfestspiele Halle. He performes with E. Kovacic, R. Leopold, Ch. Hinterhuber, Quatuor Mosaïques, F. Boesch, M. Bilson, B. Fink or the Kutrowatz brothers.

From his numerous CD-recordings one includes the complete recording of Bach’s sonatas and partitas for solo violin.
