Anna Sushon
Anna Sushon was born in Russia. She studied piano and music history in Novosibirsk. In 1991 she emigrated from Russia to Israel, where she completed her conducting studies at Jerusalem’s Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in 1995. She has been living in Vienna since 1996, where she continued her musical studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts.
Anna Sushon has worked as an accompanist for the Vienna Chamber Opera, the Mozart Festival at Schönbrunn, the KlangBogen Festival, the Retz Festival and others.
She has appeared as a Lied accompanist in Vienna, Madrid, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Her conducting career has so far taken her to the USA and Israel, as well as to the cities of Vienna, Erfurt, Salzburg and Stockholm.
Since 1998, she has been rehearsal director at Neue Oper Wien.
