Maria Beatrice Cantelli
Maria Beatrice was born 1987 in Bolognia and has already collected important experience by playing in prestigious halls with the most famous conductors.
Maria Beatrice Cantelli works as principal flutist in different orchestras all over Europe and founded and manages klassikwunsch.at.
At the early age of 16 years, Maria Beatrice was admitted to the University “Mozarteum” in the class of Irena Grafenauer. In 2009 she earned her master’s degree in Concert Studies with the highest mark, for which she was awarded the Austrian Culture ministry’s honorary prize. 2011 she earned another master’s degree with János Bálint at the “Orchesterzentrum NRW” in Dortmund-Detmold.
Maria Beatrice had a temporary contract as assistant principal flutist at the “Grazer Philharmoniker/Opernorchester” (2011-2012), won the audition for the volunteer position at the RSO Stuttgart and was academic member of “Mahler Chamber Orchestra” and member of “Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester”. Now she plays with the “Wiener Kammerorchester”, the “Orchestra of Europe”, the styriarte Festspiel-Orchester, with recreation – GROSSES ORCHESTER GRAZ or the “Streicherakademie Bozen”.
The young musician has been awarded several prizes, such as the “Allegro Vivo” in in Horn (Austria) and at the International Woodwind “AUDIMozart” competition in Rovereto (Italy).
She is also plays baroque flute. She had lessons with Michael Casdorff-Schmidt, Marcello Gatti and Dorothee Oberlinger and performs with the chamber orchestra recreationBAROCK.
