Julla von Landsberg
The repertoire of Julla von Landsberg ranges from early Medieval monody to contemporary improvisation. Her special interests lie in the repertoire of Early Music: the Middle Ages, the music of the Renaissance and the Baroque, and early Classical lieder. Lieder evenings, chamber concerts, oratorio and opera engagements have taken her throughout Europe. Particular scenic cooperations have taken place with directors such as Georg Blüml, Martina Veh, Susanne Frey and the musicians of Urban Strings, Holland Baroque Society, United Continuo Service, Stimmwerck and the Bach Choir Fürstenfeldbruck.
As a performer of contemporary music theater, she has shared the stage for years with Nico and the Navigators (direction Nicola Hümpel), including performances at the Opéra Comique Paris, Grand Théatre Dijon, Bregenz Festival, Radialsystem Berlin and at the Hamburger Kulturfabrik Kampnagel. Above all in the interpretation of forgotten and rarely heard music, Julla von Landsberg finds her most inspiring moments, whether in Baroque music or through her Ensemble Santenay in the bizarrely sensuous world of the Middle Ages. Recordings with Sony Classics, Naxos, Raumklang and cpo have been made together with Gli Angeli Genève, Tetraktys, Leipziger Concert, Santenay, Hofkapelle Schloss Seehaus, Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble and United Continuo Service.
