Born in Rome, Arianna Vendittelli showed a great interest in music since a very young age, when she started studying violin and later focused exclusively on singing. She graduated, with highest honours, from “Conservatorio Antonio Buzzolla” in Adria and she is currently perfecting her singing with Mariella Devia.
She was third prize winner at the “Sacred Music International Competition 2008”, won the role of Norina at the “Marcello Giordani International vocal competition 2011” and received the audience award at the “International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera Pietro Antonio Cesti 2015”, after which she made her debut at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik in the world première of Cesti’s Le nozze in sogno, conducted by Enrico Onofri and directed by Alessio Pizzech. She won the role of Countess Almaviva at the Opera Estudio de Tenerife in 2015.
In 2009, she sang Paisiello’s Missa Defunctorum in Salzburg, Ravenna, Vicenza and Udine, conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti. She made her debut in May 2010 on the occasion of the Salzburg Festspiele and the Ravenna Festival in Mozart‘s Betulia Liberata , conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti. In 2012 she made her debut at Turin’s Teatro Regio in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, as Despina, conducted by Christopher Franklin and directed by Ettore Scola.
Through 2015 and 2016 she starred with the Ensemble Matheus and Jean-Christophe Spinosi in Rossini’s Elisabetta regina d’Inghilterra, performing the role of Matilde; with Les Talens Lyriques and Christophe Rousset in Pergolesi’s Li prodigi della divina grazia nella conversione e morte di San Guglielmo duca d’Aquitania, performing the role of the Angel at the Festival Pergolesi Spontini and with the Academia Montis Regalis and Alessandro De Marchi in Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de Confessore and Krönungsmesse.
She performed with Alessandro De Marchi and the Münchner Rundfunkorchester at Munich’s Prinzregententheater singing arias from Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro”, “Don Giovanni” and “Così fan tutte”.
Her most recent highlights include H. W. Henze’s Gisela! (title role) for the Opening of the 2015 Season at Palermo’s Teatro Massimo, directed by Emma Dante and conducted by Constantin Trinks; Così Fan Tutte and Don Giovanni at Vicenza’s Teatro Olimpico during the 2014 and 2015 Seasons, in the roles of Fiordiligi and Donna Elvira, conducted by Giovanni Battista Rigon and directed by Lorenzo Regazzo; Wolf-Ferrari’s Il segreto di Susanna at Venice’s Teatro Malibran with Bruno de Simone, conducted by Enrico Calesso and directed by Bepi Morassi; Mozart’s Il Re Pastore, in the role of Aminta, at Trieste’s Teatro Verdi, conducted by Felix Krieger; Carmen, in the role of Micaéla, conducted by Roberto Gianola and directed by Marco Spiga at Cagliari’s Opera house and the world première of Fadwa by Dimitri Scarlato at the Accademia Filarmonica Romana.
Since 2013 she has been the soprano voice of the ensemble Imago Sonora, specialised in contemporary and 20th century music. Furthermore, in 2014 she founded, with harpist Augusta Giraldi, the duo Alba Semiplena, performing in many concerts of Italian, German and French chamber music.
She has recorded “Intorno all’oratorio di San Filippo Neri” (Frescobaldi, Ortiz, De’ Cavalieri, Michi, Animuccia, Kapsberger) for Urania Records, with the ensemble MVSICA PERDVTA. For Roma Inaedita, she has recorded Stradella’s “San Giovanni Crisostomo”, in the role of Eudosia, with the Ensemble MareNostrum.
