Johann Joseph Fux: Gli Ossequi della Notte, K 305 (1709)
Night herself appears on stage in the baroque opera “Gli Ossequi della Notte” by Johann Joseph Fux, first performed in Vienna in summer 1709. It is the third discovery in the styriarte Fux cycle, dedicated to the stage works of the Austrian master of baroque from Styria. Once again conductor Alfredo Bernardini will lead his brilliant period orchestra Zefiro and a group of fresh Italian voices in an evening of pure baroque enchantment. Choreographer Jörg Weinöhl transforms the sounds and visions of night into modern dance of the utmost beauty.
Meet Mr. Fux with a glass of sparkling wine from the House of Harkamp as of 7pm in the foyer.
