Afterwards in the palace park: Folk songs by Johannes Brahms
Under vaulted Baroque ceilings, Erwin Ortner and his Arnold Schoenberg Choir build a heavenly arch made from sounds. In extraordinarily beautiful choral movements, they tell us how Fux’s religious zeal goes with Bruckner’s mystical sound waves and how even Brahms fell under the spell of catholic canons. “Pietas Austriaca”, Austrian piety – that’s what it was called in the Baroque era. At the parish church in Pöllau, it becomes pure, stunning choral music.
After the concert join us in the palace grounds for folk songs by Brahms and enjoy a buffet with specialities from the delicatessen region Pöllauer Hirschbirne.
Parking for cars is limited in Pöllau; take advantage of the styriarte coach. >>further information
