Mittsommernachtshare on facebook A long midsummer night of drama and music
The programme will be walked through in six stages (in all weathers), ending at 0:30am, with a meditative nocturnal experience to follow (weather permitting) and a tasty breakfast to finish at 5am.
A Styrian Midsummer Night’s Dream, with scenes from Shakespeare’s famous comedy and rustic music from all different regions of Europe: joik songs, Austrian fiddlers, trombonist Bertl Mütter and many others, all responding to the fantastic setting of that shortest night of the year in Stübing, the open-air museum of Austrian rural folk culture. Surrounded by picturesque old farmhouses and the sounds of the woods, the audience will spend the entire night with the musicians, until called to breakfast by a brass band at sunrise.
Price includes snack and breakfast (“Brennsterz” and “Häferlkaffee”). I case of rain, only the first part of the programmes takes place (until about 0:30), in fair weather, the event ends at about 5.30 in the morning.
