Sabbat mit Freundenshare on facebook
“In six days, the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day; wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.” One of the most important Commandments of Judaism refers to the observance of Shabbat, the seventh day of the week, as a day of rest. It gives Jews time to pray, reflect and make music together with the family. This holy day is traditionally welcomed with a ritual – “like a bride” – on Friday evening after sunset. Timna Brauer and her musical partners will introduce the audience to the ancient traditions of Shabbat and celebrate it with them.
