Franz Schubert: Mass in E flat major, D 950 / Intende voci, D 963
A few months before his death, Franz Schubert composed his most beautiful mass: the grand mass in E-flat major. Andrés Orozco-Estrada conducts it at the parish church in Stainz, in the original sound of the Concentus Musicus Wien and with the fantastic singers of the Arnold Schoenberg Choir. In doing so, the charismatic maestro from Colombia traces the footsteps of the unforgotten Schubert interpreter Nikolaus Harnoncourt even further.
Before the performance, you are invited to a traditional Schilcher reception in the castle courtyard, courtesy of Stainz town council.
