Christmas is almost upon us and that calls for Vivaldi: Mónica Waisman is the violin soloist for “Winter“ from The Four Seasons and for one of the late violin concertos. The bucolic tones of the flute pay homage to the shepherds of Bethlehem, while the strings evoke the snowy winters Vivaldi spent in Vienna.
