Wiener Serenadenshare on facebook A concert at Planetensaal followed by a picnic in the palace park
Beethoven’s Trio Serenades are among his most lovely pieces and a perfect prelude to a picnic in the park, especially in the splendid baroque surroundings of Eggenberg Palace.
Ludwig van Beethoven: Serenade for flute, violin and viola in D major, op. 25
Serenade for string trio in D major, op. 8
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Flute Quartet in C major, K 285b
Folkmusic in the park
Classical Viennese serenades do not necessarily have to be performed in the evening in the open air. As an indoor matinee they also provide perfect entertainment, especially in the magnificent Hall of Planets in Eggenberg Palace. Beethoven’s Trio Serenades are among his most lovely pieces and the perfect prelude to a picnic in the park.
After the concert in the The Hall of the Planets, food, cold drinks and basic seating will be awaiting out on the grass. Tickets for a picnic box (EUR 15) are only available in advance at our ticket centre or in our Webshop. Weather permitting, the picnic will be outdoors. Should it be raining, we will be happy to pack your picnic for you to enjoy at home. If you wish to bring your own picnic basket, we will be happy to look after it for you in the cloakroom while you are enjoying the concert.
