A festive ending to the Attems weekend:

Baroque and Rococo “harmony music” for wind instruments. Christian Binde on the natural horn and his Compagnia di Punto sound hunting fanfares in the Planet Hall. Magnificent overtures and robust dances by Telemann, regal marches by Handel, virtuoso Vivaldi and duets by Punto (after whom the ensemble is named), all written for oboes, horns and bassoons – the perfect prelude to your picnic in the park.

Concert in the Planetensaal followed by a picnic with music in the palace park (only in good weather)

Duration: around 60 minutes at Planetensaal, followed by encores on the picnic lawn in the palace park

Ensemble

Founded in 2010, the Compagnia di Punto is a period performance ensemble that performs music from the Baroque to the early Romantic period in fluid transitions from chamber ensemble to orchestral formation. The Compagnia, whose beginnings lie in the Cologne early music scene, aims to convey the relevance of early music in the present day.

Naturhorn

Born in Duisburg, Christian Binde was characterised as an artist by the contrast between new and early music, between freelance work in various orchestras and his own ensembles as well as his teaching activities. He has played with ensembles in Europe, Asia and America and taught at the universities in Linz and Trossingen.

Picnic Box

Enjoy your picnic in the palace park after the concert part at Planetensaal.

Vouchers for your picnic box (EUR 16) can be purchased in our WebShop (for 11 am / for 5 pm) or directly at the Styriarte ticket office no later than 2 days before the event.

The voucher can be redeemed on the day of the event directly at the distribution station on the picnic lawn in Schloss Eggenberg.
