Ragna Schirmer brings the two together – a summit meeting of Romantic piano music. The magic of the Concert Variations and Sonata in B Minor, Clara’s Lieder and Liszt’s transcriptions really only come into their own when played on an original grand piano of the time, and the one played by Ragna Schirmer is a Wieck, built by Clara’s cousin.
