In 2012, cellist Matthias Bartolomey and violinist and mandola player Klemens Bittmann founded the duo BartolomeyBittmann. In their musical interplay, the formation takes their instruments, which are strongly anchored in the classical music tradition, on a new path. With spontaneity and improvisation of jazz aesthetics, they combine intimate grooving and powerful rocking elements.
