Paul Varga
Winning first prize at Prima la musica 2023 is testament to the polished vocal talent of this young up-and-coming singer from the Graz Opera Singing School. Paul has already shone in small roles on the big opera stage in Fiddler on the Roof and Tom Sawyer. For the Styriarte he will conjure up Humperdinck's Abendsegen in the Stefaniensaal.

The young up-and-coming singer has long since become an experienced performer on the Graz stage, following in the melodious footsteps of his parents. Paul's musical training began with cello lessons at the Conservatory with Thomas Platzgummer, followed by his entry into the Graz Opera Singing School with Andrea Fournier in 2021. In 2002 he won first prize in the vocal ensemble at Prima la musica. Anyone who has recently attended productions of Macbeth, Anatevka, Tom Sawyer or Cinderella at Graz Opera or Next Liberty has already seen Paul on stage.
In December 2024, the young singer will enchant the Styriarte audience with the Evening Blessing in Engelbert Humperdinck's 'Hänsel und Gretel', conducted by Vanessa Benelli Mosell.
