Etienne Bazola
The French bass-baritone discovered his passion for singing at a young age. After training in Tours and Orléans, he graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Lyon with First Prize in opera singing. Today, this internationally sought-after soloist performs regularly with renowned European ensembles and at festivals, delighting audiences with his stylistic versatility.

Etienne Bazola, who studied singing at the CRR in Tours from a young age and has a passion for singing, began his training at the CRD in Orléans in the class of Sharon Coste and Denis Poras. In June 2012, he was awarded first prize for opera singing at the CNSMD in Lyon in the class of Isabelle Germain and Fabrice Boulanger. There, he further developed his repertoire of lieder, opera, oratorio and French mélodie through numerous masterclasses led by François Le Roux, Christian Immler, Rosemary Joshua and Udo Reinemann.
As an internationally active artist, he is regularly engaged as a soloist by major European ensembles and festivals, both those specialising in Baroque music and those that do not.
He is looking forward to performing in 2022 in the USA, in Spain (Teatro Real), at the Vàc Festival in Hungary, at the MA Festival (Bruges) – where he will have the great pleasure of taking on the role of Mercury in ‘Cupid and Death’ – and in Hamburg at the ‘Concert Royal de la Nuit’.
