Duo Fetén Fetén

The Spanish duo's world tour of folk music, which has taken them to stages across Europe, North Africa and the USA, is anything but ordinary. Diego Galaz on violin and Jorge Arribas on accordion embrace ethnic musical traditions with zeitgeist and charm, surprising audiences here and there with adventurous instruments such as the camping chair flute and the straw violin.

Fetén Fetén is a duo made up of Jorge Arribas and Diego Galaz from Burgos, Spain. They delight audiences with their contemporary mix of traditional and folk dance music. Their musical journey takes the audience from the Iberian Peninsula to exotic countries, accompanied by Balkan echoes, manouche sounds, Japanese sounds, seagull cries and even the melodies of the waves. They are not only lovers of dances such as the waltz, fandango, bolero, tarantella, habanera or pasodoble, but also of unusual musical instruments: in addition to the violin or accordion, they also play the saw, the straw violin or the camping chair flute (!).

They have given more than 1000 concerts throughout the Iberian Peninsula and have performed at festivals such as Pirineos Sur, Folk Segovia, Tres Culturas, Madrid Folk, Facyl, Clásicos en Alcalá, Noches y Almenas and Actual. In 2010 they embarked on the first of their international tours, which took them to Costa Rica (Arts Festival), Nicaragua, Belgium (Marni Jazz Festival Brussels), Argentina, Morocco (Instituto Cervantes), Latvia, Estonia (Viljandi Folk Music Festival), Slovenia (Keltina Festival), Slovakia, Germany, Tunisia, Austria (International Accordion Festival), Portugal, Great Britain and the USA.

As a duo and with renowned guest musicians, Jorge Arribas and Diego Galaz have released five albums to date. They have collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Jorge Drexler, Pasión Vega, DePedro, Rozalén, Fito & Fitipaldis.
