Marcello Gatti

From a very early age, the Italian Marcello Gatti was interested in the flute and early music and deepened his studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Years of intensive concert activity helped him to perform at the most prestigious musical institutions throughout Europe, America, Japan, Australia and the Middle East.

Career

Marcello Gatti was interested in the flute and early music from a very early age and graduated with a flute diploma in Perugia in 1986. From 1991 to 1998 he continued his studies with Barthold Kuijken at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he graduated with distinction.

On stage

His many years of intensive concert activity have brought him appearances at the most prestigious musical institutions throughout Europe, America, Japan, Australia and the Middle East. He is regularly invited to play with the most renowned early music formations in Europe, with repertoire ranging from Renaissance to Classical.

Recordings & teaching

Of course, there is a whole series of CD recordings with him. He devotes himself with great enthusiasm to his teaching activities on ancient instruments, which he practises at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Conservatorio "F. E. dall'Abaco" in Verona and at summer courses at the Early Music Festival in Urbino.
