Natalia Moro, originally from the Ukraine, is a professional sand artist with many years of international experience. Natalia Moro's sand painting is an unique sand show that follows a fixed scenario and is accompanied by customised music. The broad spectrum of her activity in sand painting extends to different areas of social, cultural and artistic life.
Born in Odessa (Ukraine), she attended the Grekow-Odessa Art School where she studied costume and stage design. Natalia Moro has worked in theatre, film and advertising as a scenographer and costume designer.
From 1996-2003 she ran her own ceramics workshop and was the main editor of the children's magazine "Masken". The artist has lived and worked in Germany since 2004.
She has been involved in sand painting since 2010 and has since carried out various social projects, live performances in Europe and worldwide as well as video production and workshops.
Her collaboration with the ARS ARTIS art catalogue began in 2001. This has been followed in 2012-2014 by her co-operation with the Moscow L. Tolstoy State Museum, where she participated in various exhibitions.
Her artworks can be found in private collections in Germany, Austria, Russia and Ukraine.
