About the artist
Singer at opera studio Graz
A mezzo-soprano from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Neira Muhic completed her vocal studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz in the class of Prof. Tom Sol. She attended master classes with Cheryl Studer and Romualdo Savastano.
At the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz she performed as Mrs Herring (Albert Herring), Ganymede (Die schöne Galathée), Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), La Badessa (Suor Angelica) and Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte). In summer 2023 she was a scholarship holder of AIMS (American Institute of Musical Studies).
As a concert singer, she has performed oratorios by Pergolesi, Schumann, Mozart and Dvořák. She has sung Duruflé's Requiem and Martín Palmeri's Misa a Buenos Aires in the Stefaniensaal in Graz and Schubert's Mass No. 6 in the Konzerthaus in Vienna.
As a scholarship holder of the Best of South-East Programme of the Steiermärkische Sparkasse, she sang in concerts with the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra at the Graz Opera.
Since the 2024/25 season, Neira Muhić has been a member of the opera studio of Graz Opera, where she sang Annina in La Traviata and Hécube / Anna in Hector Berlioz's Les Troyens.
