Trio Infernal

The trio around Paula Barembuem, a singer and native of Buenos Aires, fuses different cultures and styles and has thus established itself as an ambassador between the sound worlds of jazz, tango and modern grooves of the club scene such as house and drum’n’bass.

About the band

Paula Barembuem und Trio Infernal

Ambassador between the worlds of sound

Born out of the rhythm section of the band Beefólk, the virtuoso musicians Christian Bakanic (accordion, keyboards, percussion), Christian Wendt (double bass, electric bass) and Jörg Haberl (drums) are breaking new ground. As a well-rehearsed working band, they leave the clichés flaming, because Christian Bakanic, Christian Wendt and Jörg Haberl do not have much in common with a classical accordion trio. They are ambassadors between the sound worlds of jazz, tango and modern grooves of the club scene like house and drum'n'bass.

They do not see themselves as border crossers, but as bridge builders between the styles. As a result, the three top-class musicians present a vibrant, lively sound that breaks through familiar styles and dissolves boundaries - music rich in freedom, passion, virtuosity and inventiveness.
