About the artist
Oboist with Ukrainian roots
Career
Born in Kiev (Ukraine), Stanislav Zhukovsky first studied at the National Academy of Music and then went to Saarbrücken to study orchestral music, majoring in oboe. In Graz he enrolled for the master's programme at the KUG, which he completed with excellent results.
Engagements
Stanislav was already engaged at home in Ukraine as a permanent member and as solo English horn in the national orchestra, and already during his studies in Graz he played in the orchestra Recreation from 2016. Here he also immediately took the opportunity to get to grip with the baroque oboe in the orchestra's baroque formation, which he now plays with much enthusiasm and great fun. He substituted, for example, in the Vienna Academy Orchestra, the Haydn Philharmonic Orchestra Eisenstadt or the Synchron Stage Orchestra Vienna. His secret love is also jazz, which he can give space to in his own band, or the Armenian instrument duduk. With the 2021/22 season he was engaged as solo oboist at the Staatstheater Saarbrücken. With November 2022, he will now take up the position of First English Horn in the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn.
It is a "dream" for him when he can be on stage together with his wife, the opera singer Tetiana Miyus.
