Vocalensemble Mittendrin
‘The joy of singing’ is the motto of the vocal ensemble from St Michael's and so the seven women and five men radiate good humour at every concert. Founded in 1996, the ensemble loves to delight audiences with unusual rock and pop arrangements, which choirmaster Christian Rehrl-Leopold enjoys arranging for his Mittendrins.
About the artists
the joy of singing
Anyone familiar with the Vocalensemble Mittendrin from St. Michael knows that this choir radiates good cheer at its concerts, thanks in no small part to its dedicated choir director Christian Rehrl-Leopold. The seven women and five men's motto is 'the joy of singing', and you can hear it!
Mittendrin was founded in 1996, so next year marks an incredible 30^(th) anniversary, as well as another milestone: Christian Rehrl-Leopold has conducted the ensemble for 15 years, setting its tone and direction ever since. Mittendrin cannot be classified as a traditional choir, as gospel and spirituals form the core of its repertoire. They focus on entertaining a cappella culture with unusual rock and pop arrangements, which the choir director happily arranges for his Mittendrins.
