discovery through the legendary soundtrack of the summer of love
When the summer of love took off in San Francisco in 1967, revolutionary youth was by no means of one mind when it came to aims and how to achieve them. Some were for free love and LSD trips, others were for civil rights campaigns and anti-Vietnam war demonstrations. What they all had in common though, was music, those brilliant songs by the Beatles and the Doors, Donovan and Jimi Hendrix, who were eventually to bring the new spirit to our part of the world too. For the styriarte, a young, hand-picked supergroup go on a journey of discovery through the legendary soundtrack of the summer of love – and make of it something of their own, something for today.
The performance lasts 60-70 minutes without an interval.
