We are looking for young musicians to join our Soundflix Orchestra. Be part of the new edition of the live music show from Styriarte.
On March 25 and 26, 2026, we invite you to join us for SOUNDFLIX SHOW #5 with MAGIC! and transform the Helmut List Halle into a spectacular magic arena. Conductor Rahela Durić and director Christoph Steiner will lead the SOUNDFLIX Orchestra in a performance of fantastic film music, ranging from Harry Potter to The Lord of the Rings.

Would you like to join Rahela Durić in transporting audiences into magical sound stories at a film music show? If you're a young musician, this could be the opportunity for you!
These are the requirements for your participation:
You live in Styria and are available for the entire production period (March 21 to March 26, 2026).
You play one of the following instruments:
violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute/piccolo, oboe/English horn, clarinet/bass clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, piano, percussion, harp

We offer you
You will have the opportunity to work with Maestra Rahela Durić and coaches who are all professional musicians (some of whom play in the Recreation Orchestra). You will gain experience in a professional orchestral environment organised by a renowned cultural institution. We offer flat-rate compensation of €300 for show days.

Here's how it works:
Your application will be a video!
Your video must consist of two parts.
INTRO PART – tell us about yourself! Who are you? Why are you perfect for the Soundflix Orchestra? (max. 1 min).
MUSICAL PART – play all the specified audition pieces, and if possible a piece of your own choice.
The sheet music for the audition pieces can be found here.
Your video should be no longer than five minutes. One minute for the introduction and approximately four minutes for the musical section.
Then upload your video to YouTube. Your video must be playable online!
Then send us an email containing a link to your video, along with your personal details (date of birth, email address, and telephone number).
