Content
Three musicians, three reed wind instruments
It is not only the programme for chilly January that is “lovely”, it is actually also the translation of the name of the ensemble: Trio Mignon – lovely trio. Original works for this form of ensemble consisting of three reed wind instruments only appeared in the 20th century, but the three musicians cheerfully plunder the treasure chest of classical hits and come up with Gershwin: a winter version of Summertime …
Programme
Trios from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Divertimento No 1), Ludwig van Beethoven (Variations about Là ci darem la mano), George Gershwin (The Man I Love, I got Rhythm, Summertime, Rhapsody in Blue u. a.) and Helmut Hödl (Polysweet)
Trio Mignon - three musicians who sound like a small orchestra with three wind instruments through impressive virtuosity, beauty of sound and rhythmic exactness.
