Cuncordu e Tenore de Orosai

CunCuncordu e Tenore de Orosai Cuncordu e Tenore de Orosai perform not only Mediterranean cultural history, but also a concise fusion of sacred and secular vocal sounds. The dense dress of Sardinian musical tradition reveals strongly seductive songs for Easter time.

Songs of the Sardinians at Easter time

A vocal ensemble from Orosei, a seaside town on the east coast of Sardinia, Cuncordu e Tenore is well established in the Sardinian traditional music scene, thanks to the intensity of their musical performance as well their characteristic repertoire: the sacred songs of the religious fraternities, the “cuncordu“, and the secular “canto a tenore“. The singers are loyal guardians of a musical heritage passed on orally from generation to generation. The most beautiful songs of this splendid old repertoire, which has its origins far back in the history of the Mediterranean region, are dedicated to spring and Easter time.
