Songs of the Sardinians at Easter time

A vocal ensemble from Orosei, a seaside town on the east coast of Sardinia, Cuncordu e Tenore is well established in the Sardinian traditional music scene, thanks to the intensity of their musical performance as well their characteristic repertoire: the sacred songs of the religious fraternities, the “cuncordu“, and the secular “canto a tenore“. The singers are loyal guardians of a musical heritage passed on orally from generation to generation. The most beautiful songs of this splendid old repertoire, which has its origins far back in the history of the Mediterranean region, are dedicated to spring and Easter time.
