The Sound of Austria

Shows

Theme day at Stübing: Under the direction of Marie-Theres Härtel, we immerse the Fest in einem Bauerndorf Stübing Open-Air Museum in all the colours of sound with which Austrian folk music has delighted us then and now.

Programme

Theme day at Stübing

Austrian folk music from all federal states. Traditional and also in new clothes.

Stübing Open-Air Museum is an opportunity to explore the length and breadth of historical rural Austria from Burgenland to Vorarlberg and back. In a place like this, the obvious thing to do is, of course, bring the old rustic buildings to life with the rich diversity of Austrian folk music. On our theme day in Stübing valley, there is music from all parts of Austria in the farm buildings during the day, and in the early evening the various music groups come together at the foot of the valley for a joint concert, featuring for the first time a new work by Marie-Theres Härtel, the project curator.
