Alexander Christof

In addition to the award-winning pop band Granada, the Graz-based accordionist is regularly involved in classical, pop and jazz chamber music projects and as a theatre musician at the Schauspielhaus Graz. Alexander Christof also brings laughter and joy to the ranks of the ‘Rote Nasen Clowndoctors’ association.

a versatile artist

Alexander Christof graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz with a degree in 'Instrumental Pedagogy Accordion' and 'Teacher Training in Music Education / Instrumental Music Education (Accordion/Piano)'. He successfully completed his training as a clown at the renowned 'Rote Nasen Clowndoctors' association in 2023.

Alexander Xidi Christof is a versatile artist who works as a freelance musician, clown and music teacher. In addition to his solo career as an accordionist, he is also involved in a number of projects, including the pop band Granada and the jazz/pop duo Desustu, as well as being a theatre musician at the Schauspielhaus Graz.

A highlight of his career was winning the 'Amadeus Austrian Music Award' in the Alternative category together with Granada in 2022. His artistic activities include numerous tours and sold-out concerts in German-speaking countries, CD productions and further nominations at the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards (with Granada).
