Funk-Pop Band from Graz
Candlelight Ficus has long since grown from a brittle houseplant into a large musical tree. And it is growing like crazy. In the energetic live shows of the funk-pop band from Graz, no foot stays beside the other.
Earthy grooves, catchy pop melodies and archaic soul elements sweep mercilessly around the ears and straight into the bones. The seeds were sown back in their school days, so that the once friendly funk band from next door now already has a few years' worth of rings to its name. And they have matured: not only to become a big name on the local scene, but also internationally the buds are beginning to sprout. If they were in the top field at the national pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, they have taken advantage of the growth spurt: the tree of musical knowledge has shed twelve new songs and the first album "Golden Life", which will be released in October.
The ficus is bigger than ever and shines brighter than any candlelight. The sun is here. So is the feel-good funk package.
