Ellipsis Qunitett

Jazz, progressive rock and fusion resonate when the quintet centred around Greek trumpet visionary Vasileios Nalmpantis takes traditional music from the eastern Mediterranean to heart. The five instrumentalists based in Graz have already recorded their compositions on two studio albums.

About the band

Ellipsis Quintett

"east meets west" Project

Ellipsis Quintet is a prog-world-jazz project by Vasileios Nalmpantis, consisting of five multi-talented, creative musicians with very different cultural backgrounds, who have already developed their own style and perhaps even their own sub-genre on their debut album "Avoid The Void". Metal, jazz, prog, fusion and much more, with traditional and folk music from all parts of the Balkans and the eastern Mediterranean as a common denominator, unite to form an amalgam of sounds and emotions that transcends forms and boundaries.

With their second album "Aristotle's Dilemma", they raise the bar even higher in terms of artistic, creative and production quality. They are not guided by short-lived trends, but concentrate on music that remains true to a pure artistic vision and stands the test of time.
