Duo Gota

The fascinating musical language of Katia and Jan Moling transports you into a gently archaic dream world, characterised by cultural and natural images of their homeland in the Dolomites. The sibling duo also spread their lyrical songs with didgeridoo, handpan, viola and vocals in their mother tongue Ladin beyond the borders of South Tyrol.

About the duo

Duo Gota

inspired by nature

From meditative sounds with handpan, viola and vocals, to tribal, archaic sounds with didgeridoo, to energetic rhythms with percussion that make you want to dance: the two South Tyrolean siblings Katia and Jan Moling harmonise diverse musical elements under the name Gota.

They sing in Ladin, the siblings' mother tongue. The soft, sinuous sound of this language is an important part of Gota's songs. The duo draws inspiration for their compositions primarily from nature. The connection between emotional life and nature is one of the main themes of their music.
