Hanami Sakurai has gained a wealth of professional experience in the orchestral field, winning auditions for temporary contracts with the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg and the Bad Reichenhaller Philharmonie, where she is still a welcome substitute.
She has also played in the Salzburg Philharmonic, as a substitute in the Bruckner Orchestra Linz, in the Camerata Salzburg, with the Salzburg Orchestra Soloists, in the Ensemble Resonanz Hamburg under the direction of Tabea Zimmermann and as principal oboist in the Orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich.
She is currently studying for a Master's degree in baroque oboe with Alfredo Bernardini at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
