Born in Carinthia, he works as a singer, accordionist, pianist, and arranger, works as a composer for various formations and writes children’s musicals. Helmut Stippich travelled as a versatile musician all over the world and lives as a freelance artist in Graz today.

Versatile musicians with Carinthian roots

Helmut Th. Stippich was born in 1979 in Lavanttal, Carinthia. He moved to Graz to study school music, followed by a teaching career as a piano teacher.

The versatile musician works as a singer, accordionist, pianist, arranger and composer for various formations, including NWCS, Mischwerk, Stippich & Stippich, Dickbauer - Stippich - Havlicek, SOME LIKE IT HOT with Maria Stippich and Traude Holzer and many more.

Stippich composes children's musicals (Robin Hood, Jungle Book), arranges for the Leo Festival in Wroclaw, for the Weill Festival in Dessau and has been musical director of the Reichenau Theatre Festival since 2010.

In 2010, he learned to play the Viennese Schrammel harmonica in just a few weeks, making his debut with the "Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln" alongside Robert Meyer (Volksoper Wien: Tannhäuser in 80 minutes).

Concert tours have already taken him all over Europe, South America, Asia ...

In 2015 he won the Beethoven Composition Competition.

Helmut Stippich lives as a freelance artist in Graz.
