Flying and falling
Velvet Wasted is an Austrian band that combines elements of rock and soul with modern touches of indie and pop. With their music, the four musicians from Graz stand for human and honest emotions, which they express in an interplay of hard and soft riffs. Their lyrics are about the good and the bad moments in life, in which themes like loss and separation, but also hedonistic waste and ecstasy are often found.
"Flying and falling" is the essence, but hope always resonates. Velvet Wasted has existed since March 2020 and managed to play concerts outside of Covid-19-induced expectations in a very short time. With their international sound and moving live shows, they quickly managed to win the interest of the surrounding press and music scene. With their latest single "Blame It On The Nights" they attracted the attention of various radio stations in Austria such as FM4, Radio 88.6 and Radio Soundportal. Radio FM4 already compared them to the indie rock legends Kings of Leon. Recently they released their second ep "Chasing Hearts".
