ambassadors of African culture

The Afrika Mamas from Durban in South Africa, who have got together to form an a cappella group, are seven mothers bringing up single-handedly a total of eleven children. They have deep roots in the traditions of their culture and yet, self-confident and emancipated, tell very modern stories about and for today. They capture their social experiences in passionate music, which aims to entertain as well as enlighten. And they see themselves as ambassadors of African culture in music and dance.
