He makes his clarinet sing and does not shy away from musical experimentation. As a foster child of Giora Feidman, the Thuringian-born sound individualist honed his skills at the Manhattan School of Music in New York, among others, and has long been regarded as a trendsetter in world chamber music. With his trio Klezmorim, he has given klezmer music a new voice for over 20 years and has already been honoured with the ECHO Klassik Award three times.
Although one of the most distinguished lutenists in Europe, David Bergmüller began his career on the classical guitar. With subtle interpretations and compositions of early music, contemporary and electronic music, the Tyrolean has become a sought-after soloist and continuo player who has created a new cosmos of sound for the lute. After teaching in Graz, he was appointed as one of the youngest music professors at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne in 2018.
