großes Kino der Gefühle

In 1996 she won the Oscar for Best Film Score (Emma), and in 2000 she almost won it again (Chocolat). British composer Rachel Portman has a sixth sense for the great cinema of emotions in music. Her violin suite Tipping Points is the most beautiful example of this: a “Book of Change” about the four elements with entrancingly beautiful melodies, wonderfully played by Alexandra Tirsu. Ingmar Beck shows how much more dramatically the four elements were set to music in the French Baroque with the famous ballet suite by Jean-Féry Rebel.
