brilliant autumnal music
Handel’s Harp Concerto is not the only work that sounds exquisite on the baroque harp. Margret Koell takes Vivaldi’s winterly Lute Concerto and transforms it into brilliant autumnal music for her own instrument. In Vivaldi’s Variations on La Folia and in Handel’s magnificent first Grand Concerto, she assists the Recreation baroque players in the continuo. The Scottish composer James Oswald’s Folk Tunes bring more than just a touch of folk music to Minoritensaal.
Music by Antonio Vivaldi (La Follia, Lute Concerto, etc.), George Frideric Handel (Harp Concerto in B flat major, etc.) and James Oswald (Folk Tunes)
