The celebrated Baroque violinist Chouchane Siranossian sweeps across the lagoon through raging ice storms, yet her elegance rivals that of the ice skaters in Vivaldi’s Winter. She portrays the shepherds at the manger in sweet tones – now with the down-to-earth Styrian charm of Fux, now with the Roman elegance of Corelli, now with the dreamy Venetian style of Tartini.
