A replay project

Am 9. November 1968 gab Oscar Peterson mit seinem Jazztrio im Wiener Konzerthaus ein unvergessliches Konzert, das vom ORF live im Radio übertragen wurde. Die Bänder gingen ins Archiv. Jetzt hat Kristina Miller sie wieder ausgegraben, hat die komplexen Improvisationen transkribiert und sie damit nachspielbar gemacht. Das Replay-Projekt war geboren und macht live auf der Bühne ein Klavierwunder des Jazz wieder lebendig.

The legendary concert by Oscar Peterson and the Oscar Peterson Trio on 9 November 1968 at the Vienna Konzerthaus, featuring Oscar Peterson’s improvisations on themes by Frank Churchill (Someday My Prince Will Come), Peter DeRose (The Lamp Is Low), Marcos Valle (Summer Samba), Leonard Bernstein (Somewhere), Leslie Bricusse & Anthony Newley (Who Can I Turn To), Nat Adderley (Never Say Yes), Duke Ellington (medley), and his own Hymn to Freedom.

Kristina Miller

Kristina Miller was born into a family of musicians in Moscow as a piano prodigy. After only a short period of training she had her first performances with orchestra at the age of eight. The award-winning pianist’s foreign tours span several continents and her first CD, released in 2008, was broadcast several times on BBC radio.
