Kristina Miller

Kristina Miller was born into a family of musicians in Moscow as a piano prodigy. After only a short period of training she had her first performances with orchestra at the age of eight. The award-winning pianist’s foreign tours span several continents and her first CD, released in 2008, was broadcast several times on BBC radio.

Recreation is special in many ways: consisting of musicians whose nationalities range from Japan to Venezuela, most of the members received part of their training in Graz. After its formation in 2002, the collective played unique halls such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt and worked with outstanding conductors.

Jiří Rožeň

Conductor

Jiří Rožeň was born in Prague in 1991 and studied conducting at the universities of Prague, Salzburg, Hamburg, Zurich and Glasgow. The former assistant conductor of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra has already established a reputation as one of the leading interpreters of the Czech repertoire.

A celebration of Tchaikovsky just before Christmas – this is as festive as it gets:

Tchaikovsky’s Christmas ballet “The Nutcracker” along with the most often recorded piano concerto of all time. The conductor is from Prague, the pianist from Moscow: together they set off a veritable fireworks display of sound. And they have the Russian soul of Tchaikovsky’s music in every fibre of their being.
