Moldovan violinist Alexandra Tirsu has been much in demand for prestigious concerts ever since she won the audience award at the ARD competition. With her 1717 Stradivari, she gets right to the heart of the Slavic Tschaikovsky. And Ingmar Beck draws out the full beauty of the strings with the young Dvořák’s serenade.

The young Moldovan is recognised as one of the most brilliant violinists of her generation in the USA and Asia. Alongside Bach, Brahms and Britten, the string virtuoso, who trained in Vienna and Switzerland, favours 20th century composers. Highlights of her career to date include collaborations with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Korean Chamber Orchestra.

Recreation is special in many ways: consisting of musicians whose nationalities range from Japan to Venezuela, most of the members received part of their training in Graz. After its formation in 2002, the collective played unique halls such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt and worked with outstanding conductors.
