Three centuries separate Baroque genius Henry Purcell from rock legend Freddie Mercury – three centuries that
Duo Aliada
boldly bridges, bringing their music together in a virtuosic fusion of soprano saxophone and accordion.
Tales is an exciting project in which stories from vastly different musical eras weave together into a single stream of sound. Early English masters meet modern troubadours like Sting and Queen. With their unusual combination of saxophone and accordion, Michał Knot and Bogdan Laketić impressively blend past and present worlds of music. We hear stories of journeys, adventures, love, and the hope for a better future—and all in the warm, lively atmosphere of an old English tavern.
Duo Aliada, that is saxophonist Michał Knot and Bogdan Laketic on accordion. Since its formation in 2013, the duo has quickly secured the attention of the classical music world and performed in the most prestigious halls, such as Carnegie Hall New York, Tonhalle Zurich and Hermitage Theatre St. Petersburg.
