Expert in historical flutes
Career
Annie Laflamme, born in Sept-Iles, Canada, studied flute at the conservatory in Rimouski and then at McGill University in Montreal, where she graduated in 1998. As a Québécoise, she feels as close to the language of Old France as she does to the music of the Old World as an artist. After completing her studies, Annie Laflamme moved to the music metropolis of Vienna, where she began to study the transverse flute. She perfected her studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and finally graduated in 2005 under Wilbert Hazelzet. She continued her studies in master classes with Robert Aitken, Patrick Gallois, Robert Langevin, Emmanuel Pahud, Benoit Fromanger, and Maxence Larrieu, among others.
