Career

The coloratura soprano was born in Budapest. She graduated as a "Classical Singer" from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest in 2014. She then studied lied and oratorio with Ingrid Kertesi and graduated recital at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in 2017. From 2016 she worked on her opera and oratorio repertoire with Peter Edelmann and Pantelis Polychronidis in Vienna.

Prizes

Anna Ihring won second prize at the Franz Liszt Song Competition in Baja in 2012. In the same year she won a coveted prize at the contemporary competition in Szeged. In 2013 she won third prize at the III. International József Simándy Singing Competition in Szeged. In the same year she received the National Scholarship of Hungary.

On Stage

After many performances in Budapest (including with the Szolnok Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Symphony Orchestra in the Hungarian State Opera Budapest), Anna Ihring studied and worked at the Vienna State Opera from 2018. She sang "First Female Voice" there in the contemporary opera "Orest" by Manfred Trojahn under the musical direction of Michael Boder in about 2019. In 2020, she participated in a performance of Ligeti's "The Mysteries of the Macabre" in Vienna.
